Spiral Dynamics
Spiral Dynamics is a model of the evolutionary development of individuals, organizations, and societies. It divides life in meaningful levels of consciousness and It describes how value systems and worldviews emerge from the interaction of "life conditions" and the mind's capacities. The emphasis on life conditions as essential to the progression through value systems is unusual among similar theories, and leads to the view that no level is inherently positive or negative, but rather is a response to the local environment. People can be incarnated in this life in any of the different stages, and ultimately has to go through all stages in its spiritual journey, and in this article, we’re diving deeper into the final stage, which is stage Turquoise.
The Levels
The different levels are described by colors, and before I want to dive deeper into the last stage, I’d love to give you a concise overview of the previous stages.

Turquoise
Stage Turquoise is where the ‘real’ work begins. For individuals who reach Turquoise, it can feel that each stage that came before was almost child-play, even second-tier Stage Yellow. At Turquoise, the individual understands its integration and deep connection with all life that came before it, and everything that is still yet to be. Turquoise recognizes itself as both individual and part of the compassionate, collective whole. Harmony paves Turquoise’s path; its thinking being both holistic and intuitive, working alongside cooperative actions. Turquoise realizes that consciousness is central to humanity's problems. They may also build and guide their communities, which can present challenges with the other levels of the Spiral below them being incongruent with one another. At Stage Turquoise, the mystical becomes the mundane and the paranormal becomes normal. Turquoise understands that intelligence is not something we ‘possess’ as stages earlier in the Spiral may believe. They know that every being in the universe is intelligent and that the entire arrangement of the universe is divine intelligence at work.
In 2020, Turquoise represents perhaps 0.01% of the population and holds approximately 1% of the influence. Almost all institutions, governments and societies are closed-minded to Turquoise, due to them being at a lower Stage in the Spiral and experiencing Turquoise as ‘delusional’.
Turquoise governments have never existed. If they did, we could imagine it would be a holistic system, with micromanagement of all life forms. It would be a unified global system, and its purpose would be to elevate the consciousness of all of humanity.
Origin & Development
People at stage turquoise develop deep mystical and spiritual awareness and intelligence, gaining deep insight in energetic fields, presence, unity, the nature of being, existence and universal consciousness.
Stage Turquoise could be witnessed only 30 years ago, within the Western World. Its origins can be soon in the work of Ken Wilber, James Lovelock and David Bohm. It emerged as a reaction to the individualism within Stage Yellow and a knowing that the individual alone cannot solve global issues and that oneness is needed to do so. A community effort aligned with a holistic goal can only solve the world’s problems.
At the same time, it also has an understanding that solutions lie beyond the world and thinking as we know it and searching for answers within our own experience is not enough; a trust within nature’s wisdom is needed. This is too mystical for material science to grasp.
Turquoise also emerges when Yellow understands that consciousness unifies everything and everyone, and they move back into the community mindset, from Yellows individualism.
Furthermore, Turquoise may also present itself when Yellow begins to realize all of the answers it has found so far, are not the ultimate truth. At Yellow, much thinking is still rational, logical and based on cause and effect. Beyond the mind, this is not an issue. At Turquoise, the logical mind is transcended, and the answers become self-revealing. Transcendence of the ego will be experienced here.

Manifestations of Turquoise
You can recognize turquoise by it integrative approach in regards to body, mind and soul. It considers the energetic dimensions and the invisible dimensions of life in everyday life and work. Turquoise is based on the cosmos and sees ourselves as a small cog in the great web and mystery of life. It is always serving the greater whole and/or the cosmos and knows how to translate this well to earthly life in the here-and-now. Those at Stage Turquoise show the following healthy manifestations or characteristics:

A possible negative manifestation is that they may lack earthly action, due to staying in the spiritual or cosmic consciousness too long.
Prejudices of other stages towards stage Turquoise
Purple has a tendency to see Turquoise as not from this world, strange and totally out of alignment with today’s reality.
Red has trouble really perceiving Turquoise. According to Red, Turquoise is simply strange and unworldly and does not take a position, which makes it difficult for it to respect this value system.
Blue has a tendency of seeing Turquoise as floating, ethereal and without structure and has difficulty with the fact that Turquoise continuously adapts to the ever-changing living environment.
Orange can see Turquoise as floaty, daydreaming and utopian.
Green can see Turquoise as very relativistic, impersonal and very broadly oriented. This makes Turquoise in a way elusive for Green.
Yellow can see Turquoise as too calm, too accepting and therefore not action-oriented.

Be completely open and listen and feel with your entire being; including all senses and perceptions. Start from the principle 'face everything, avoid nothing'. Be appreciative of what is and ruthlessly compassionate about what can be.
