Developing a Powerful & Needed/WANTED Ego

Power is a word that can have many different interpretations. It has a strong positive connotation and a strong negative connotation. The positive meaning of power is the ability, capacity and agency to do something or act in a particular way. These properties of power are highly important if we want a meaningful, blissful and wholesome life existing of things we deeply want and need. Aiming to obtain the power in order to become the highest authority in our own life. Without a powerful, resolute and determined way of asserting ourselves in life, we subconsciously become prey of the desires of other people and energies with more power and awareness. If used consciously, power is something we all need and want to embody.

Now, the negative meaning of power is the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events by lying, manipulating or deceiving others. This is often done with selfish intentions; without the best interest of everyone involved, making it rather negative in its nature. This is an important distinction to make, because the aim of this article is to build a powerful and positive ego, positive meaning that we use our power for the best interest of all parties involved. The power of love; for love.

Using our power to create what we want, need and dream of through win-win situations instead of being subconsciously lowered, manipulated and used by others. Religion and a lot of new age philosophies streams of thinking aim to guide us towards killing, diminishing and giving up the ego, often leaving us powerless in a world built on power mechanisms; a world filled with selfish people. So without further ado and in order to avoid becoming weak, powerless and unable to create the life we subconsciously dream off: 11 ideas that will hopefully guide you towards building an even more powerful and positive ego.

11 POSITIVE POWER PRINCIPLES

  1. Think Win-Win

While remembering there is always an opponent, at least in some eyes’, in order for our power to be positive, we have to think win-win in order for our power to benefit all people involved; to initiate our power for the greatest good. If we intend to use our power with the intention of harming others, violating their free will or opposing force upon them, our power is no longer positive.

2. SET YOUR boundaries in relationships

Communicate what you won’t or can’t accept, until you can love and accept unconditionally.

3. Honor Your Integrity

Integrity means the quality or state of being complete or undivided. Your word is your truth, so be impeccable with it. It’s all right to change your mind and update your integrity, but as your mind is your reality, it’s important to stay true to your word. If your actions and walk is not in alignment with your word and your talk, you will create splits, divisions and unnecessary chaos for yourself. Walk your talk or readjust your word. Integrity, unity and inner wholeness create the power we seek; the power we are. Words matter.

4. Create Independence

Being dependent on others is often a key element that stops us from becoming a truly powerful creator. As long as we have to rely on others for some of our needs, we won’t have the full sovereignty, liberty and autonomy in regards to doing what we feel we truly are. Aim and strive for a life based upon independence, autonomy and self-reliance.

5. Put YOUR own needs first

People will want things from you. People will ask things from you. People will need you. These are all elements of life, but in order to become truly powerful, it is essential that we place our own needs first. It’s a lot harder to help, serve or celebrate others if our own needs are not met. Be determined about knowing your needs and be proactive in fulfilling them. Ask help if needed, but don’t go around pleasing others without putting yourself first. Helping others is great, but it’s important to help yourself first.

6. Live purposefully

Having a purpose that transcends yourself gives a power that is often indestructible. Whatever circumstances life gives you, your purpose, if deep, authentic and powerful enough, will guide you back into alignment. Get to know your deepest dreams, needs, desires and purpose, and once you’ve done so, give worth to yourself and your choices.

7. SHARPEN YOUR Ability to Say NO

Saying yes to things, people or situations our intuition says no to is a recipe for disasters and moves us aways from the life that is us. Saying no can be hard, especially when it’s saying no to the people most close and dear to us. Daring to say no without guilt, regret or shame, thus creating a positive balance between yourself and others is a key aspect in creating a powerful and positive ego.

8. TakE care of your body

Power is asserted from our body, and nourishing our body, seeing it as a vessel and honoring it as such, will have a hugely positive impact on the power we assert on life. This is on an individual basis, an interpersonal level and ultimately into the collective.

9. Trust your intuition

True power comes from being able to trust your sacral and divine intuition that transcends emotional waves and intellectual, dual and partial rationality. Being able to trust to your intuition against all mental and emotional odds creates a power that is unstoppable.

10. Embody the Dark

Being comfortable in dark situations, which may be scary, illegal or painful for example, strongly increases the chances of asserting our power in positive ways in the world. Not being swayed by the dark, but being at ease in it allows us to handle more extreme situations with greater levels of mastery.

11. Give up proving

One of the ultimate forms of power is being fully driven by internal recognition, validation, and approval. Our worth is unconditionally divine and doesn’t have to be proven towards or proven by others. As long as we spend our energy trying to seek the validation of others, we will lose our personal power; as ultimately nobody can recognize us as deeply as we can recognize ourselves.

12. EMBODY AND BECOME Humor

The capacity to accept yourself and the ability to not take yourself too seriously are both really important, as I believe humor to be at the core of reality. Being overly rigid and serious around your personality, identity and life creates a stiffness that strongly diminishes the power to make things happen.
